Pirates, pirates everywhere. It seems like everyone has pirate characters, and so here are mine. You all have already met Round Brown Silver: [link] but here's the rest of his tick pirate crew! That's Roche (a pirate who's very easy to make jealous) and Jack (a crotchity old tick who enjoys chasing girls) in the foreground, and from left to right in the back: Edlund (a pretty and prideful tick, also an homage to "The Tick" superhero character), Roger (a lazy pirate, always sleeps on duty), Stede (a money-driven greedy pirate, notice a pattern here?) and Nigel (a pissed off pirate always looking for a fight). Of course we also have TULC and Round Brown Silver there, too.

These guys sail all across a huge lake looking for trouble. If I ever made TULC into a cartoon or comic book, this would be a scene. Here, the ticks are eating a steak that they had stolen from a barbeque and drinking meat juice. Since TULC needs a way to get across the lake, he shacks up with these guys, who make him drink the meat juice as a right of passage. Now he's an honorary member of the crew, even though he's not a tick!

I'm proud of this one, it took a long time to make, but I'm really proud of it. Making things look like candlelight took a while, but hopefully I got it...

I listened to a lot of Flogging Molly while making this, I like that band.

You bet you got it, it has a wonderful atmosphere. Plus I always admire a man who's thought a story through.

And you're not wrong. Everybody has pirate characters. How very odd.
